We had full attendance from our DC Metro area Owners as well as a few
Owners who travelled from as far as Rochester, NY and Philadelphia, PA.

The meeting focused on marketing efforts that have succeeded
in the DC area, followed by Gary Biltis who talked about what’s working around
the country. Strongly recommended were Cable advertising, social media and
M.A.P. (FAST-FIX’s Monthly Advertising Program). Along with mall gift cards
and building on our highly successful referral program, we have seen marketing
drive in huge numbers this year! Cell phone repair has become a big sales
revenue for many stores and the way to promote this was reviewed.

The meeting concluded with an analysis of each store’s
departmental sales, analyzing strengths and avenues of opportunities.
The DC Metro area has always been a strong region for us and it was great
seeing many friends we had not seen since the annual convention in July.

These meetings, like our annual conventions, are an informal forum for us to share ideas that are succeeding in other stores. Successful marketing, merchandise, equipment, sales … we discuss them all and ALL that attend leave with great ideas to  implement in their stores.

Our most recent marketing Meeting in California was a huge success, with a stress on increasing social media advertising, new store signage and new available markets (buying gold and cell phone repair).

Then, on one New Years Eve, I got a call from my boss and he said he could not afford to have me on the payroll anymore and that he was letting me go. That was the call that changed my life.

FAST-FIX already had a store in Miami, Florida (Dadeland Mall) and I went to the owner and asked him if I could work for him. He said that he was not hiring at that time. I told him that I knew the business very well and I could improve his sales – he told me to prove it to him.

We agreed that I would work for him for one month and he would pay me 5% of the total sales at the end of the month, if I could improve his sales by $1000 or more (as he was averaging about $17000 at that time). I was so confident that I could do it that I took him up on his offer. You want to know what happened? I worked open to close that whole month and we did more than $23,000 that month an increase of over $6,000.

To make a long story short, I worked with the FAST-FIX owner for three months while I negotiated with the FAST-FIX headquarters for the opportunity to own my own FAST-FIX store. I opened my own store in Melbourne, Florida in 1991 and since then have never looked back. FAST-FIX is all I know and I will always be grateful to FAST-FIX because I have come a long way since 1991.

FAST-FIX has fulfilled my dreams. Today I can afford almost anything I want.

My future plan includes opening a few more FAST-FIX stores and at present I am training my current employees and doing a lot of role playing with them so that one day they can successfully run and manage my existing store, while I get busy looking for other FAST-FIX franchised stores in different areas.

I can go on and on talking about FAST-FIX. I truly enjoy being a part of the FAST-FIX family and can assure all future owners, if they put their heart and soul into this business and work every minute towards making money, they will give themselves and their families a very secure future.”
